Wheeleez Hits the U.S. (Released December 28th, 2006)
You might have turned your head upon seeing a few kids testing out the prototypes on the sidewalks of Manhattan or glading through the aisles of your local big-box store. As the most novel product to hit the market in the post-holiday season, Wheeleez will be the strongest force to pry kids away from their video game controls and put them back in the parks. That's what they've already done in Japan , where kids and teens spend hours in parks playing games and teaching themselves tricks while donning Wheeleez.
These wheels are the most practical yet to hit the street-skating market, which blew up almost 15 years ago with the introduction of in-line skates, opening up the possibility of having fun on wheels without the necessary trip to the roller rink. Wheeleez brings even more practicality, functionality, and fun to the trend by offering a more affordable pair of wheels that allow the user to adjust each pair to their own size, fitting over their own shoes. One pair is suitable for the lifetime of a growing child, but also allows teens and adults to have their own share of fun. Wheeleez are compact and easy to remove and store away in a moment, avoiding the extensive lace-up process, and allowing users to wear their own shoes.
As with any sport or new athletic gear, it takes a few tries to get comfortable and proficient at skating with Wheeleez. Once mastered, they're an addictive gotta-have product that's sure to be the it-craze as the weather warms.
